![]() WiredMy protagonist is Mask. An accessory so dominating that in urban life a lot of identity is driven through the masks we wear. And a lot of urban populace looks like clones of each other. I have experienced that rat race myself, it’s endless and one can’t be fast enough. The speed of life is such that life itself is left behind until the physical realities of it catch up and remind of the lost time. Medium: Acrylic on Canvas Size: 24 X 24 inches © Swaroop Biswas | ![]() The Guitar PlayerMost of the time we are producing for others but ‘art for self’ remains my favorite experience. It’s an indulgence, not a performance. My Guitar player is not out to impress anyone, not even bothered whether someone listening or not. ![]() The Violin PlayerThere is something very pure about these moments. An absolute oneness with self. Can’t define this feeling. It's an experience and it has to be experienced. Medium: Oil & Acrylic on Canvas Size: 60 X 36 inches © Swaroop Biswas | ![]() The FlutistWhat an amazing celebration of being human. No dramatic display of emotions just an undefinable mix of them and experience. Just experience. Medium: Oil & Acrylic on Canvas Size: 54 X 54 inches © Swaroop Biswas | ![]() WhyThis was done around the same time when 26/11 in Mumbai happened. It was such a harrowing experience that this composition took place. Felt very helpless and powerless in the face of such brutality. It seemed pointless to paint also but I am an artist, that's what I do. Medium: Acrylic on Canvas Size: 48 X 48 Inches © Swaroop Biswas |

Its here that actors spend those crucial hours before and after the act. We all have our Green Rooms, invisible though, hidden from the prying eyes of the world.
